AN EXQUISITE PARK ! My wife and I were enjoying a fly / drive vacation in Oregon not long back. We rented at car at Portland Airport and made the drive down the beautiful Oregon Coast stopping at points of interest along the way. Our final stop was Eugene so we could spend a few days with my wife's son and his girlfriend. My wife and I love to ride bikes so we rented a couple of Trek road bikes to get around the coffee shops in town. One day we rode our rental bikes along the bike path that travels through this park which is adjacent to the lovely Willamette River. Our tour guide was her son who has lived in Eugene for years with his girlfriend. We must have criss-crossed at least 6 bridges over the river. At one point while we having a break 2 huge Great Blue Herons landed in the pond not too far from us. Then to our amazement one of them flew over and landed within a few feet of us. The Great Blue Heron looked so beautiful and so blue as it stood there motionless. Lots to see and heaps to admire....such an enjoyable bike ride !

A beautiful park in a city of beautiful parks! I’ve run and ridden here, and besides the mapped trails there are a bunch of fun mini trail networks that are always a blast, on foot or on a bike. Keep an eye out for unhoused people, they love this park too and have every right to use it. If you come across a camp, leave it be! Keep the rubber side down and have fun!

One of my favorite inner city parks so far, lots of good walking trails. The park is very clean and we'll maintained. It also has a small island you can access! Highly recommend taking children!

It is nice dont like the dirty bums around they should be taken away but other than that its great place for a walk

I love this place for many reasons but the one most of all would have to be the fishing. As long as you don't mind the Ducks geese pigeons and some kind of aquatic bird that scares your fish away it's an amazing place to go hang out for the day.
